Product Operations Lead
Overview:
On behalf of our esteemed client, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Product Operations Lead to join a dynamic international team. In this role, you will establish structures and processes to operate, maintain, and manage data-related services and technologies within our infrastructure. You will be crucial in ensuring the availability and reliability of our hybrid cloud platform services. You will work closely with customer success, platform operations, software engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to enhance the performance and availability of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of an operations team consisting of both internal and external employees.
- Develop and subsequently advocate for processes related to incident, problem, and change management within the Data Product Line, working closely with the program's Operations team.
- Oversee and proactively manage internal and external dependencies in collaboration with architects, product management, and delivery teams to minimize operational impact.
- Work with the Product Delivery Manager to ensure products are ready for operationalization within the data product area.
- Collaborate with QA team members to implement and enforce quality assurance measures, ensuring the high quality of delivered products and services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and skill development within the infrastructure compute and storage delivery teams.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact service quality, ensuring smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to demonstrate excellent documentation and communication abilities with a proactive approach.
- Be capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams, adapting to agile and DevOps methodologies for software development.
- Possess exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- At least 5 years of experience managing productive applications or systems, ideally containerized and distributed.
- Deep understanding of containerization, container management, application packaging, and deployment customization.
- Experience in using observability tools.
- Proficiency in operating various relational and non-relational data technologies, such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Neo4J.
- Skills in automation and infrastructure as code practices, including GitOps.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written (at least C1 level), and proficient in German (at least B1 level).
