Job description
Conexus has partnered with an automotive manufacturer who are seeking an experienced SAP EDI Expert to manage and optimize electronic data interchange (EDI) processes. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of EDI standards, mapping, and integration, and will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient data exchange with their trading partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions and integrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external trading partners to implement EDI transactions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and maintain EDI documentation, including maps, specifications, and guidelines.
- Provide support and training to internal teams on EDI processes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EDI development and implementation within SAP environments.
- Proficiency in EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Experience with EDI mapping tools and software (e.g., Gentran, Sterling Integrator, BizTalk).
- Strong understanding of data formats and protocols (e.g., FTP, AS2, HTTP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluency in both English and Italian. (bonus but not essential)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Certification in EDI or related technologies.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and integration, particularly with SAP ECC/HANA (familiar with modules such as MM, SD, FI or LE)
- Familiarity with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) or SAP Integration Suite for EDI interfaces.
