Job description

We are currently searching for a SAP BW Engineer to join our global medical devices client in Germany, to support their journey to S/4HANA.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Engineer to join our client's Data Insights & Advanced Analytics team within Global IT. This team serves as the central Data & Analytics partner for the global business, providing comprehensive infrastructure, data engineering, and analytics solutions to drive success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements for SAP BW/4Hana solutions.
  • Design and implement efficient data models in SAP BW/4Hana to meet reporting and analytics needs.
  • Develop and implement ETL processes.
  • Configure and optimize SAP BW/4Hana for performance and scalability.
  • Create and maintain documentation for SAP BW/4Hana solutions, including technical specifications, data models, and system configurations.
  • Stay updated on SAP BW/4Hana best practices and new features to enhance solutions continuously.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BW/4Hana.
  • Work closely with Azure and Databricks architects to align SAP BW/4Hana solutions with cloud architecture principles and best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as an SAP BW/4Hana Engineer or similar role, with hands-on implementation experience.
  • Strong understanding of SAP BW/4Hana architecture, data modeling concepts, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and configuring InfoObjects, InfoProviders, CalculationViews, and data extraction processes.
  • Experience with SAP HANA database technology is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions visually.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in agile project management methods is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • SAP BW certification is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in German and/or English.
