Conexus are partnered with a National Utilities Company to source a highly skilled and experienced IaaS Architect to join their Infrastructure Product Line team.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the architecture aligns with the vision of the IaaS Architect and the strategy of the Lead Architect, while also collaborating with other architects in areas such as network, storage, compute, observability, security, and public cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review, and iterate on software architecture for components within the IaaS platform, using a REST-first approach to build modular, scalable, and secure systems.
- Validate and update the components under your responsibility, ensuring they meet security standards and other requirements. Report observations and collaborate closely with the lead infrastructure architect and engineering teams.
- Collaborate and Communicate with other architects, lead engineers, and stakeholders to transform business and technical requirements into actionable architecture proposals, principles, and designs.
- Follow established processes to achieve successful collaboration, detailed documentation, and overall project success.
Skill Requirements:
- Experience with Modular/Distributed Software Architecture and Highly Available Systems Architecture.
- Strong background in Distributed Service Architecture and Graph Data Modeling/Design.
- Advanced understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and modern frameworks, including Pydantic models.
- Experience with Graph Databases (e.g., ArangoDB, Neo4J).
- Expertise in REST API design, IAM/OAuth/OIDC, and Messaging Brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of Distributed System Algorithms (e.g., synchronization, replication, consensus).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and concepts, such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Fluent in English (C1 level or higher).
