Description:
You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and migrating systems primarily within Microsoft Azure, with secondary expertise in AWS. This role involves selecting the right cloud services based on business needs, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring that the solutions align with Azure-based infrastructure. You will offer architectural guidance and technical support while maintaining best practices in security, automation, identity management, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of the company's strategic business goals and IT infrastructure.
Offer architectural consulting and technical direction to systems analysts, IT engineers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Design, implement, and manage Azure-based solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Provide support and optimization for AWS environments as necessary.
Document and manage the Azure cloud architecture, infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
Create and manage an Azure cloud infrastructure capacity plan to support business growth.
Establish and enforce standards and policies for cloud technologies, focusing on Azure security, governance, and compliance.
Research and recommend emerging Azure and AWS technologies to improve cost-effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization within Azure and AWS environments.
Design and oversee the implementation of integrated cloud systems across the company.
Deliver and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and other cloud-based desktop solutions, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
Develop and execute test plans to assess the performance of Azure and AWS cloud infrastructures and suggest improvements.
Manage identity and access controls using Entra ID (Azure AD) and integrate with on-premises Active Directory.
Ensure smooth hybrid identity management between on-prem AD and Entra ID, covering authentication, group policies, and security best practices.
Position Requirements:
Expertise in Azure architecture, services, and best practices.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Strong understanding of multi-tier architectures (e.g., web servers, caching, application servers, load balancers, storage).
Solid foundation in Azure and AWS security best practices, including encryption, authentication, access control, and compliance.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including automation, configuration management, deployment, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and DevOps methodologies.
